We have discovered Jeroen at the very beginning of this project « Un Rendez-Vous ». It was an immediate crush for his work and soon confirmed by his extreme kindness.
He and Annika, his beautiful & adorable wife and owner of the Wild at Heart Bridal designer showroom, have accepted to bring us with them during their stay in London for the London Bridal Fashion Week in March.
They share with us this experience:
“It was our first time visiting this event but we had a great time. Especially because One Fine Day was now also available in London and they always have the best venue and service! This year it was held in Shoreditch in an old factory with huge windows which meant the light was amazing. We went here to visit our own designers and some new ones.
We started with Jane Hill bridal who brought us some stunning feminine gowns in amazing lace fabric. Whether you want a tight fit or a flowy skirt, they have it. Floral or graphic laces, we loved them! Jane Hill is a family brand which is past on from mother to her daughters who now run this Australian based brand.
We got a little preview of the new Alexandra Grecco collection which featured some stunning new embroideries. We see a lot of big lace patterns this season and Alexandra Grecco was no exception. Long sleeve goodness featuring big floral embroideries and silky sleek crepe gowns combined with capes and polka dot veils. We also saw the signature deep V neck in a lot of gowns but also a new more square neckline which is very flattering if you have a smaller chest.
The brand Bo & Luca that made us fly to London because we carry their beautiful gowns for 3 years now but have never actually met with the designer and team. We had an absolutely amazing time seeing their full hand beaded collection in person and chatting about styles and materials with the designer. We already carry quite a few styles from their new collection but also fell in love with some previous collection gowns. And their jewelry line… wow! Perfect for a bride looking for the perfect statement earrings!
Bon Bridé a new British brand that we discovered! It is sustainable (big yeah for that!) and they even offer a service to alter your wedding gown after your wedding so you can wear it again. But all the practicality aside… they make the most stunning minimal, cool, anti-bride gowns! Made from stunning fabrics with sexy slits and open backs. We loved it! A very fresh approach to bridal.
After New York and London Bridal Weeks, let’s talk bridal trends!
– Big floral embroideries (we saw this at Alexandra Grecco and Livne White)
– Slits (we saw this at Alexandra Grecco, Rime Arodaky, Bo & Luca and Bon Bridé)- Ruffles (we saw this at Alexandra Grecco, Livné White, Bo & Luca)
– Color (we saw a lot of soft colors at Jane Hill, Bo & Luca, and Alexandra Grecco)
How do you feel about these?
